Why do I see a $25 hold after tapping my card?

All Story Board booths place a temporary $25 authorization hold when you tap your card. This reserves funds temporarily—it is not an additional $25 fee.

If you cancel before completing your purchase, the hold will be released and you will not be charged for that cancelled session.

If you complete a purchase, you will only be charged your purchase total. Any unused portion of the hold will be released.

Your bank may continue to display the hold while the release is processing. The time it takes to disappear varies by bank.

I haven’t received my photos or videos by email. What should I do?

Check your spam, junk and promotions folders, and search your inbox for “The Story Board.”

If you still cannot find your email, use the support form below. Include the venue, date and approximate time of your visit, along with the email address you entered at the booth. We’ll review the issue and available delivery options.

My photos didn’t print. What should I do?

If you purchased prints but they didn’t come out, or the prints were incomplete or damaged, please let us know using the support form below.

Include the venue, date, approximate time and a description of what happened. We’ll review your purchase and the printing issue. Please do not open the booth or attempt to remove a paper jam yourself.

I entered the wrong email address. Can you help?

Please use the support form below and enter your correct email address.

In your message, include the venue, date, approximate time and the email address you originally entered, if you remember it. We’ll review whether we can locate your session and help correct the delivery details.

It looks like I was charged twice. What should I do?

You may temporarily see both the $25 authorization hold and your purchase charge while your bank updates the transaction.

Check whether the entries are marked “pending” or “completed.” A pending hold does not necessarily mean you have two completed charges.

If both charges have completed, or the final amount does not match your purchase, contact us using the support form so we can review it.

How do I request help with an incorrect charge or a refund?

Use the support form below and explain what you purchased, the amount in question and what went wrong.

We’ll review your purchase and the issue to determine the appropriate next step. Submitting a request does not automatically approve or process a refund.

A temporary authorization hold is different from a completed charge; releasing that hold is not a refund.

What information should I include in my support request?

Select the venue, enter the email address used at the booth and choose the date of your visit.

In your message, include the approximate time, what you purchased and a brief description of the issue.

Please do not include card numbers, security codes, PINs, photos of your payment card or bank statements.
